It’s Thanksgiving! This year, our Turkey day is kind of a mess. Half the family is very sick (RSV is the WORST!) and I’m the lone adult who is well enough to fix the meal and care for everyone. Let me say, I feel so BLESSED to be healthy enough to do so!
If you’re reading this on Thanksgiving 2022, please send prayers for the family to finally be healed 🙏
For most of today we’re going simple, but I had something really fun planned and I made a video to share it with you all…baked custard in a pumpkin!
This recipe is adapted from: Colleen Kennedy with Soufflé Bombay https://soufflebombay.com/the-original-pumpkin-pie-way-pilgrims/
Changes I made: my pumpkin was bigger and took twice as long in the end for the custard to be cooked!
I added additional sugar and sea salt (whoops I think I left that out of the video) as well as pumpkin pie spice.
Have you ever cooked inside a pumpkin before? If you try this, let me know how it goes!
Blissfully Mommy
Hi there, I’m Tina and I created Blissfully Mommy as a place to share and celebrate the ups and downs of motherhood. In between those dirty diaper moments i’ve learned to find bliss in the little things like a yummy recipe, easy style tips, or a Pinterest binge! I hope this blog inspires you to cultivate your own version of mommy bliss.
